Editor’s note: Talk Stream Live (TSL) sampled record-setting 45.5 million listeners (increase by nearly 10 million) during 2020 to produce The TSL Power 50 Report – The 50 most influential and most listened to streaming talk shows. The Power 50 includes the big personalities talk show fans would expect as well as some new media rising stars. Congratulations to the members of The TSL Power 50! The Pandemic and Presidential Politics drove talk radio traffic to new heights at Talk Stream Live in 2020. Rush Limbaugh was the top talk show. Michael Savage came in second place, for his final year in radio. Mark Levin rises to #3, Clyde Lewis climbs to all-time high at #4, Sean Hannity at #5 and Chris Plante at #6. Talk Right shows dominated the ratings, followed by the popularity of Paranormal themed programs. TSL’s expanded genre channels and apps further fueled the growth of these in-demand streaming shows.

Editor’s note: The “Trump Effect” political phenomenon drove the discussion and talk radio ratings, especially for the Pro-Trump talk shows. Michael Savage wins in a landslide and continues his dominance as the perennial #1 streaming talk show host. Rush Limbaugh was second, with a strong showing covering presidential politics. Pro-Trumpers’ Michael Savage, Laura Ingraham, Sean Hannity, Alex Jones and Mike Gallagher gained by far the most ground. The TSL 3rd Q 2016 report sample size surpassed 3.3 million – our highest report tally ever.

The TSL Top 25 Report tracks streaming talk show listening metrics through our cloud based server via Talk Stream Live’s Website, Gadgets, iPhone, iPad and Android apps and our “click-to-listen” links on Social Networks. With only 4 tenths of 1 share point between Tammy and Rush and only 1.1 share points separating the top 4, it is too soon to call a winner.  I know who my money is on.  Also, Quinn and Rose checks into the top 25 at number 23 out of 938 Talk Shows.

TalkStreamLive’s

TalkStreamLive’s Top 25 Report uses webcast metrics that originate exclusively from actual server data. We track listener share and rank the top 25 talk radio shows streaming online that link from our directory. Only unique listener sessions over a 90 day period are used to produce the top 25 report. We do not represent the entire internet radio listening universe.  In addition to the website, we also track listener stats from all our gadgets and widgets, and from the iPhone and iPod touch. The conclusions are our own and not guaranteed to be accurate.
